GeoGrandPrix on a phone: a satellite globe with a white pin dropped in England and an F1 clue card below
Every answer in GeoGrandPrix is a place on the map. Shown here in Free Practice.

How it works

A new round arrives at midnight UK time, and everyone plays the same one.

  1. GeoGrandPrix clue card asking for the English town where the Haas F1 team has its European base
    1

Read the clue. Q1 is the easiest set and Q3 is for hardcore fans.

  2. Zoomed satellite map of England with a white pin placed and a Confirm pin button below the clue
    2

Find the spot on the globe and drop a pin. A pin within 25 km scores full marks.

  3. GeoGrandPrix result showing 99 out of 100 for Banbury, England, 62 km off, with the pin and the answer joined on the map
    3

See how far off you were, then see where your score puts you today.

Questions

When does a new round come out?

At midnight UK time every day. If you come back after finishing, you'll see your result, not a replay.

How is it scored?

Each answer is worth up to 100 points, so 900 is a perfect round. A pin within 25 km gets full marks, and the points drop away the further out you are. You get 30 seconds a question, apart from the first.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. It plays in the browser on phones and computers. An app is planned, but there isn't one yet.

Will sharing my score spoil it for friends?

No. The share card shows your score, place and streak with a coloured square for each answer, and never the answers themselves.
